October

October has always been one of my favorite months. Another couple weeks and the leaves will turn, and a few weeks after that, the light and landscape of the world will be totally different. The light and landscape of my world have been turning this past year as well. My oldest is a senior and just turned 18. Soon, he’ll go off into the world and I’m already anticipating missing him (is that weird?) while also worrying about whether or not I’ve prepared him for life. My other kids are growing up too. For me, this year feels like an October–a month of turning when life–in all its beauty–shifts to a different landscape. COVID has only hastened the turning and shifting for most people and I sincerely hope that most of you are finding pieces of beauty in the turning.

What new projects are in the works for you? What life changes?

If any of you are interested in following me other places, I wanted to let you know I have a Facebook and Instagram page that I post on regularly.
