Hey All! Just want to announce a few events coming up where you can buy books AND give back (not like give back to me, like give back to the community)!
First up is the Patchwork Central’s Holiday Arts Sale. You come, you stock up for Christmas on art and/or books all created by local artists and authors. Then those artists/authors donate a fairly sizable portion of their profits to the Empty Bowls project whose goal is to help the hungry. I’ll be there with several of my author friends, selling books and donating money. Personally, I can’t wait to see the other art that is there and buy some things for the people on my own Christmas lists. (Saturday November 5, 2016 from 9-3 at Patchwork Central–100 Washington Ave., Evansville, Indiana)
Then, if you miss the Patchwork sale, or if you just want books, books, books, come to the Indie Book Fair at St. Paul’s UCC (November 19, 2016, 10-1:30, 2227 W. MichiganStreet, Evansville, Indiana). There will be TONS of regional authors at this event. And 10% of the money made will be donated to United Way. (Note: If you are an author reading this, we’d love to have you join us.
